Seeking Assistance: Decreased Account Visibility and Guerrilla Communication in Venezuela

Hello Twitter Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address an ongoing issue I’ve been facing regarding the decreased visibility and engagement of my Twitter account (@garciabanchs). Despite my efforts to adhere to Twitter’s guidelines and contribute positively to the platform, I have noticed a significant reduction in the reach of my tweets.

I want to draw your attention to two identical tweets I posted at different times:

Tweeted on February 13, 2018: https://twitter.com/garciabanchs/status/963187011803930630

Reach: 6,540 Retweets, 372 Quotes, 8,316 Likes

Tweeted on August 25, 2023: https://twitter.com/garciabanchs/status/1695132453021659152

Reach: 38 Retweets, 7 Quotes, 151 Likes

Comparing the reach of these two tweets reveals a decrease of approximately 98.18% in terms of the Like ratio. This substantial reduction in engagement has raised concerns about the visibility of my account’s content.

I also want to provide additional context. In Venezuela, there exists a well-documented phenomenon of ‘guerrilla comunicacional’ by the chavismo regime. These groups employ legions of bots and real accounts to attack individuals who oppose the Venezuelan tyranny. These attacks have led to cases of human rights violations that are currently being investigated by the International Criminal Court. Unfortunately, I find myself targeted by these paid groups of ‘guerrilla comunicacional’ due to my outspoken opposition to the Venezuelan tyranny.

I wish to emphasize that I am committed to using Twitter responsibly and contributing positively to discussions. However, the decrease in the visibility of my account’s content raises questions about whether these orchestrated attacks are influencing the reach of accounts like mine. I do not want to assume that Twitter is being manipulated by these paid groups of ‘guerrilla comunicacional,’ leading to the closure or reduction of accounts’ visibility. Succumbing to these pressures would not serve the cause of freedom for Venezuela. Every nation has the right to seek liberation from tyranny that violates human rights, tortures, and even kills political prisoners, civilians, military personnel, and young students.

I kindly request your insights into the potential impact of these orchestrated attacks on my account’s reach and engagement. Your guidance on addressing this issue would be highly appreciated, as it impacts my ability to positively contribute to discussions about Venezuela’s freedom.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance. I am eager to find a solution and continue engaging positively on the platform.

Best regards,

@garciabanchs
